New Priest in charge

General News

We have a new Priest in Charge!!!

Peter Walley was licensed as Priest-in-charge of All saints and St Johns churches in a service on Thurs 8th March 2012.  The service took place at St Johns church and was led by the Bishop of Derby, Dr Alastair Redfern.  The church was full for this service of welcome, in which Peter Walley was presented with his Licence, a map of the parishes, a copy of the Electoral Roles and keys to both the churches.  Peter rang the bell at St Johns to indicate that his minstry had begun in the parishes.

Following the service there was a buffet for all those present.  We look forward to getting to know Peter, his wife Helen and their 2 sons.
