Next Men's Breakfast
Men's Breakfasts are held on Saturday mornings in the Church Centre.
A full "English" breakfast is served around tables in the Church Centre from 8am.
This is followed by a talk from a speaker.
Sat 23rd March. Our speaker will be Dr. David Richardson who is Church Relations Officer for Derbyshire South- Gideons UK. His subject will be “The work of The Gideons, locally and further afield”.
We will start at the usual time of 8am finishing no later than 9.30am. Tickets £2.50 (note increase) will be available as usual after Sunday morning services from the 3rd March. There will also be a donation plate for the work of Gideons UK on the day. Peter Wade

Our speaker will be the Revd. Andrew Race who is the curate at St. Peter’s, Littleover. His subject will be “Pilgrimage to India – engaging with culture and context”.

Our Speaker was Les Allen who is a Derby Borough Councillor and former Mayor.

Tim Gossling came to speak about his work as Editor of Derby Church Net and the importance of communication between churches.

Christopher Drew, the local representative, spoke about the work of the Church Urban Fund which supports projects supporting homeless people and problems of poverty and drug addiction in our cities. It was formed in the late 1980's as a result of a major report "Faith in the City" set up by the then Archbishop of Cantebury.

Tony Walker, who is Deputy Managing Director of Toyota UK, gave an overview of the Toyota operation worldwide. He spoke about the firm's emphasis on producing hybrid vehicles and also how they care for the environment. Finally he spoke about his life, his faith and how it influenced his work.
